Everything you need to build your team and introduce neighbors to Ira's campaign. Bookmark this page — it's always the latest version.
As a Captain, you build and coordinate a small team of neighbors. Together you'll introduce households across your area to Ira — and the way you do that is simple: each Ambassador delivers a bundle of campaign cards to homes close to their own.
What a Captain does
Each stop is easy: a quick, friendly hello and a card. No debates, no policy talk. No one home? Leave a card at the door.
Grow your own team
Some Captains may also recruit another Captain. Do this only when you know someone who would be great at building and supporting a team of their own. The rule that keeps it simple: everyone gets their cards from, and reports to, the person who recruited them — not Ira directly.
Use the map's search box to confirm that a potential Ambassador lives in the 32nd Legislative District. Ambassadors deliver cards in their own neighborhoods.

Hi [Name]! I'm volunteering with Ira McBee's campaign, and I'm looking for a few people to help introduce our neighbors to Ira before the Aug. 4 primary. I immediately thought of you. It's simple: deliver a bundle of about 50 campaign cards to homes near you. Just a quick hello and a card—no debates or policy talk. No one home? Leave a card at the door. I'll get you the cards. Up for it? Reply YES and I'll bring your bundle by.
"I immediately thought of you" only works if it's true — hand-pick your people the way Ira hand-picked you.
Recruiting a Captain optional
Use this version only when you're inviting someone to lead their own team. Most people should receive the Ambassador message above.
Hi [Name]! I'm volunteering with Ira McBee's campaign, and I'm building a team to introduce our neighbors to Ira before the Aug. 4 primary. I immediately thought of you. Two ways to help: 1️⃣ Ambassador – Deliver a bundle of about 50 campaign cards to homes in your neighborhood. Just a quick hello and a card—no debates or policy talk. 2️⃣ Captain – Recruit your own team of Ambassadors and help them get their cards. I'll get you everything you need. Reply 1 or 2. Not sure which fits? Reply 3.
Awesome—thank you! I'll get your bundle of 50 campaign cards to you by [date]. Once you have them, deliver them to homes in your neighborhood anytime that's convenient before Aug. 4. Quick hello and a card, and leave one at the door if no one's home. Let me know if you have any questions.
Hi [Name]! Quick reminder—the primary is [X] days out on Aug. 4, so now's the perfect time to get those cards out if you haven't yet. Even 15–20 minutes covers a block. Let me know when you finish so I can keep track of our progress. Thank you for doing this—it really matters!
If you or your Ambassadors snap a photo or video while out in the neighborhood, tag Ira's social accounts so the campaign can repost and build momentum. A front porch, your team, or a stack of cards all work well. Get permission before photographing or posting anyone else. Tag Ira on Instagram @ira.mcbee and TikTok @ira.mcbee.
Leave a card securely at the front door or on the porch where it won't blow away. Never place a campaign card inside, on, or attached to a mailbox.
No. A friendly hello and the card is all. If someone wants to debate, smile and say "the card has all the info — thanks so much!" and move on.
Great! Give them a card and encourage them to visit the website or contact Ira directly.
Usually 30–60 minutes.
Any homes in your own neighborhood, inside the district — no list needed. Skip any "No Soliciting" signs.
Absolutely — it's a great pair activity.
Ask the person who recruited you — your Captain keeps a supply and will get you another bundle.
Before Aug. 4 — earlier is better, while people are still deciding.
Contact the person who recruited you — your Captain. They'll get you more cards or answer your question.
Print this and tuck it in with each Captain's packet.
